One day we decided to take a look and stumbled into a rich piece of Scarborough history.
Long before we dialed 911 for emergencies, there was a time when fire alarms were located on telephone poles and firefighters were summoned by messages on ticker tape.
It’s history that’s been carefully preserved by former firefighters who run a wonderful museum at Scarborough Fire Hall # 1.
