Quarry Lands, Gerrard & Clonmore
Concerned Citizens of Quarry Lands Development has confirmed Wednesday Oct. 3rd as the date for the community meeting to discuss Build Toronto’s plans for the western portion of the Quarry.
The meeting will be held at Malvern Collegiate Institute, 55 Malvern Avenue from 7:00pm – 9:30pm.

The long-anticipated community park slated for the Quarry Lands will be larger than originally envisioned and include a splash pad, children’s playground, unprogrammed green space, and naturalized areas.
There’s a possibility that a new elementary school will be built in the Quarry as part of the 19-acre subdivision proposed for the vacant land east of Victoria Park Avenue and north of Gerrard Street East.
The Conservatory Group filed a completed site plan application in August with the City of Toronto’s planning department to construct a 33-storey condo tower in the Quarry.
Plans to build a 100,000 sq. foot big box retail store in the Quarry Lands on the northeast corner of Victoria Park Ave. and Gerrard St. have been scrapped because the City of Toronto has been unable to find a suitable retail tenant, despite years of trying.
