The photo of the day for July 5, 2012 is of the ruins at Rosetta McClain Gardens.
Thank goodness someone had the foresight to preserve one of the original farm houses or cottages that once dotted this parcel of land on the Bluffs.
Rosetta McClain died in 1940 and the property was given to the City of Scarborough by her husband Robert Watson McClain in 1959.
We’re planning a story on Rosetta McClain Gardens and would love to hear from anyone who has more information on the history of this hidden gem in our neighbourhood.
