The Photo of the Day for July 19, 2012 is an all too familiar scene on the streets of our neighbourhood as people clean up their flooded basements and decide what can stay and what needs to go.
Our coverage has focussed on the worst of the flooding/sewage backup in the Crescentwood Road area, but basements were also flooded on Eastwood Avenue, Kalmar Avenue, Birchcliff Avenue, Rhydwen Avenue and Haig Avenue.
Let us know if there’s another street that should be added to the list.
The damage is so extensive that Mayor Rob Ford has scheduled a visit to Birch Cliff today to see things for himself. We’ll keep you posted on how that goes.
