The Photo of the Day for July 11, 2012 was taken just inside the entrance of The Toronto Hunt, the private 9-hole golf course.
The original Hunt Club was established in 1843 by British army officers stationed at Fort York. It was relocated to Birch Cliff in 1895.
In the 1930’s, the land was converted to an 18-hole golf course, which extended north of Kingston Road.
