The Photo of the Day for August 21, 2012 is a shot of the first mural by the Birch Cliff Community Mural Project.
It’s located at the convenience store on Kingston Road just west of Eastwood Avenue.
Birch Cliff got its name from the many birch trees that lined the Scarborough Bluffs when the community was first settled.
The mural project is an initiative by local residents to celebrate the community’s heritage and revitalize Kingston Road.
The next mural is expected to be painted on the wall at Wimpy’s in September.
