Great news for a couple of 20-year olds at the London Olympics!
Birchmount Collegiate grad Aaron Brown has made it through to the semi-finals of the men’s 200-metres.
Brown finished third in his heat with a time of 20.55 seconds.

Crystal Emmanuel
Scarborough’s Crystal Emmanuel has also qualified for the semis in the women’s 200-metres.
The 20-year old Canadian champion finished fifth in her heat, but qualified with a time of 23.10 seconds.
She’ll be racing the semi-finals on today at 3:30pm EST.
8:50pm Update on semi-finals
Sorry for the late update folks but Crystal failed to qualify for the finals. She finished 7th with a time of 23.28 in a semi that included Sanya Richards-Ross of the US and Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce of Jamaica. You can see the race here.
