Police say cyclist cut in front of car
The accident happened at approximately 3:30am.
The cyclist and the vehicle were both travelling eastbound on Kingston Road, with the cyclist in the righthand curb lane and the car in the left, according to Toronto Police Sgt. Tim Thorne.
When they reached the intersection at Warden, Thorne said the cyclist cut in front of the car from the right lane in order to head north on Warden.
Alcohol not a factor
Thorne said there is no indication that alcohol was involved.
The driver of the car remained on the scene.
The intersection of Kingston and Warden has been closed and may remain so for several hours as police reconstruction officers investigate the accident.
