A toddler and a baby involved in a car accident on Kingston Rd. east of Warden Ave. Wednesday afternoon are going to be just fine because they were properly restrained, according to Toronto police.

“The restraints worked like a charm,” said Constable John Dubreuil of Toronto Traffic Services as he confirmed that the children suffered seat belt bruising but no serious injuries.

The car was traveling westbound on Kingston Rd. when it struck a tree in front of Bluffs Vintage Couture, which is next door to Taylor Memorial Library.

Police say the driver was the children’s mother and their grandmother was also in the car.

Kingston Rd. was shut down for a period in the afternoon for an investigation.
